Most wedding cakes here fall into one of two directions. Either the detail is in the surface, as with Lambeth overpiping and hand-shaped sugar flowers, or it is in the silhouette, where sharp tiers and a flawless finish carry the whole cake with no decoration at all. The second is often harder to execute and photographs beautifully in a bright venue.
Tier count follows your guest count rather than the design. A two-tier cake serves roughly 40 to 60 and three tiers serve about 80 to 120, so a design shown here on three tiers can be rebuilt on two, or extended to four for a larger wedding. Booking 2 to 3 weeks ahead is advisable, and earlier across the late spring to early autumn wedding season.
